Anticipated Hiring Range: $32,073 - $41,000
Duties: Daily/Weekly/Monthly: Posting of Payroll, Banner, Telecommunications, Indirect Cost and P-Card journals and journals generated outside the Office of Accounting Services. Emails are sent to various departments if corrections are needed. Maintaining excel worksheets for Payroll and Banner journals and balancing them monthly against those systems and following up on any inconsistencies.
Enters daily bank journal entries into Spectrum for the Operating and Payroll bank accounts and wire journal entries. Prepares monthly ZBA journal for transfers between Operating and Payroll accounts.
Prepare and submit monthly reimbursement requests to Georgia State Finance and Investment Commission (GSFIC) on behalf of Facilities Management and VP Research for all state bond-funded capital projects. Duties include submitting bills to GSFIC for expenses incurred on GRA/MRRF billable projects, and notifies project managers of actions taken.
Prepare deposits for givens received in Accounting Services and reconcile the Other Revenue account monthly to the General Ledger.
Other Duties as Assigned.
MINIMUM
SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
PREFERENCES:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with a major in Accounting; two or more years of experience in
governmental or not-for-profit organization; strong analytical and organizational skills; and intermediate level of knowledge in Excel,
Word, PeopleSoft and Banner.
