Jennifer Lopez and her boyfriend Casper Smart aren't going to ignore a batch of new rumors about backup dancer/choreographer Smart.

Star magazine's published a story that claimed Smart had visited a "XXX adult peep show" in New York City the day before Lopez celebrated her 43rd birthday on July 24. The report described the venue as "a gay cruising spot," insinuating that Smart has visited the locale more than once.

TMZ adds that In Touch magazine also irritated the couple with a report that Smart was discovered spending time with "an exotic masseuse."

A rep for Lopez tells CNN that attorneys for the singer/actress and her beau have not only asked for retractions from both publications, but they're also threatening legal action over the allegations that Smart spent time at adult venues.

"These statements are false, malicious and defamatory," the attorneys for the couple say in a statement. "Ms. Lopez and Mr. Smart will pursue all remedies available to them under the law."
